게이샤의 추억

게이샤의 추억은 정말 기분 나쁜 영화였다.

화려한 영상도 영화에 깔려 있는 찜찜한 전제에 빛을 잃었다.

기본적으로 여자가 아무리 게이샤라고 해도 너무 수동적으로 그려지는 것이 기분나빴다.

게이샤의 궁극적인 목적은 후한 후원자를 잡아서 한평생 잘먹고 잘사는 것이다.

그리고 결과적으로 게이샤는 부, 명예를 갖고 있는 욕구불만 남자들의 노리개혹은 장난감 그 이상도 이하고 아니다.

게이샤와 남자는 절대로 동등한 위치에 설 수 없다.

게이샤가 아무리 매혹적인 자태로 남자를 홀린다고 해도

기껏 해봤자 그(녀)들이 할 수 있는 것은 몸값을 올리는 것이 고작아닌가.

왕귀비같이 왕을 이용해 야욕을 갖고 정치에 뛰어들 수도 없다.

그리고 주인공 게이샤에인 유리코에게 엄청난 특권처럼 주어지는 첫 사랑의 후원.

그것도 웃기다.

끝에 결국 유리코의 후원자가 되는 남자가 다른 남자들과 차별돼는 것은 유리코가 여전부터 남자를 좋아했다는 사실과 자신의 친구때문에 유리코한테 무레하게 치근덕대지 않았다는 건데.

그래서 그게 뭐 어쨌다는 건가?

그남자도 결국 유리코를 욕정의 대상정도로만 생각 했을것이 아닌가?

그래 솔직하게 터놓고 말해서 사랑과 성욕이라는 것은 떼놓기 어려운 것인 건 사실이다.

하지만 그래도 남자와 유리코가 애틋하게 입맟추며 끝나는 엔딩은 찜찜하다

그것은 만화 나나에서 노부가 "사랑은 욕망으로 밖에 이뤄질 수 없는 것일까"에 대해
신이 "미안해요, 그것은 나도 알 수가 없어요"
라고 말했을때의 씁슬함을 남겨둔다...

그러니깐 내가 그 엔딩을 싫어하는 것은

게이샤에대한 사회의 제도가 정당하지 못하지만

남자주인공은 그 제도의 틀이 허락하는 테두리 안에서만 그녀를 가질려고하고 있고

그런식의 소유는 다른 무식했던 여타남자들이 그녀를 가질려했던 모습과 별반 다를 바 없으며

남자 주인공이 별반 다른 조취(예를 들어서 그녀를 정식 안사람으로 만든다던지.)를

취하지 않는 것 자체가 그녀의 존재가치나 그녀에대한 사랑의 모욕이라는 생각이 든다.

그런 것에대해서 아무런 문제의식도 갖지 않는 것이 화가나는 것이다.


고작 경제적인 후원이 한 여자, 게이샤에대한 소유권이 된다는 것이말이다.

게이샤는 한여자이고 사람이고 그들에게 사회가 제한하는 것 보다 더 큰것을 갖을 수도 있는데.

후원자에게 사랑을 바래서도 않되고 남자의 영역인 정치와 경제에도 관여하면 안돼고, 안정적인 생활을 누릴 수 있다면 감지덕지이고...

I feel relieve about the fact that I don't have to study CSAT.

I'm finally going to university!


Things are little complicated and I can't be completely either happy or certain about entering the Kyemung university.

but it's better than any other alternatives.

I decided to go to Kyemung University because

It offers wide range of exchange student program to oversea

It offers scholarship.Most of economical support is provided by the university. They even provide the meal package for free.

Most of the class that I'll be attending will be done in English.

Kyemung university also have beautiful campus.It has often been the background of many Korean movies and dramas.
Korean version of Hana yori dango(liu xing hua yuan) has also flimed in Kyemung University.

One drawback the University has is that it is far away from my house
and the other is that it doesn't have high name-value in Korea.

Going to a university that is ranked below top10 means that lots of adversity and difficulty will awaits in one's life.

70% of Koreans go to university.
Unlike other nations such as France and Germane where only small portion of population goes to university,it really matters to people what university they are from.
All the universities are ranked distintively.
In practical points of view, it matters more because large number of population goes to university.
For example, in Japan, only 55% of people go to university while in USA only 40% do.

But in more practical points of view, it raises question wheather it is neccesary for such a large portion of people in Korea to go to university at all.I'm saying this because desire for higher education only foster more competition at the expense of more important values.

This kind of "hierchy system based on the education degree" is much more rigid than other countries.

Kinds of school that people came from greatly affects the not only choice of the job people have but also evaluation of people's ability after the work.

Some immature people directly look down on those from "bad" school and others become condenscending.

It's important factor that can't be denied when living in Korea.

This means that people who graduated the school with low name-value will have to suffer from prejudice and discrimination regardless of the real ability they have.
They have to work extra hard in order to success in thier work.

Many people nowadays points out that it is unfair. Yet, its like...long-lasted tradition in Korean society and its hard to change.

This also means that as Korean, I have to follow it no matter how much I dislike it.
That's what society want from me.
I believe that people will care less about such as the society gets more mature.

No matter how much I compain about unfairness of this practice, if I'm not from the top-notched university, people will just regard it as inferiorty-complex.I have to be on the top of the hierarchy in order to criticise it.
